Flow of all 7 courses

Lessons 1-6: Videos and assignments to learn about the world

Sharpen your drawing skills

6 video courses

A video lecture by Yusuke Kakei, the creator of the map. You can learn everything from the basics of maps to how to put them into practice. You can rewind and watch it over and over again, or stop midway through if you're tired or not in the mood and resume later. This is an on-demand video course, so you can learn at your own pace.

Five practical tasks

After watching the video course, you will draw maps of various themes and hone your map-making skills. Even if a theme seems complicated at first glance, when you draw it by hand, you will be able to see the connections between the elements. By connecting each element one by one, you will gradually gain an understanding of the relationships and structure.

The assignment will tackle the following five themes:

Final lesson 7: Using your map skills to draw your own original map

In the final lesson of the issue map master training course, you will draw a map of the issue you will be working on as your graduation project! Use the knowledge and skills you have acquired in lessons 1 to 6 to draw your own original map. In the individual lesson of the seventh lesson, two secretariat mentors will give you detailed feedback on your map.

As an option, we will provide you with an opportunity to receive direct feedback from Kakei, the creator of the map you are working on. He will provide feedback on your map and give you a business consultation centered on the map for about 30 minutes.

Certificate upon completion of the course

Once you have submitted the graduation assignment and successfully completed the seventh course, you will have officially completed the Issue Map Master Training Course.

Those who complete the course will be awarded a commemorative Issue Map Master Certificate. This certificate is a completely original design for this course and is reserved exclusively for those who complete the course.

A certificate will be sent to you with the name of the person completing the course, the certification number, and the certification date.

Chat Support

As you study on-demand video courses by yourself, you may come across things you don't understand or are concerned about. In such cases, please feel free to consult with the secretariat mentors. If you have any questions, please send them to us via Facebook Messenger and we will do our best to answer your questions!

Participant comments

30s, city development player🏘️

The reason I took this course was because I wanted to think about how to increase the number of people working to solve social issues in the area where I live. By drawing the map, I realized that the biggest problem is not that there are no people working on issues, but that there is no one to connect them! I can't have this kind of bird's-eye view just by working on the ground, so even now, when I'm in trouble, I draw a map.

60s, company owner

After taking the Issue Map Master Training Course, I drew an original map of my organization where communication was not going well. I realized that my busy schedule was the biggest problem, and I saw the key to drawing out the independence of my team members, which changed the way I interact with them. Now, more members are working independently, and the motivation of the entire team is increasing!

Elementary school teacher in her 40s

I came across this course when I was constantly wondering why my child was not attending school and was having a hard time living. By sorting out the environment surrounding the child one by one, I realized that there was no place for the child to self-disclose, not at school, not at home, and not in the community. By looking at the map with local friends and sharing the sense of the problem, the project to create a place in the community began.
